Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Gecke collects, uses, shares, stores and handles the retention and deletion of selected photos, visible facial features, target ages, generated portraits, local records and consent choices.

1. Overview

Gecke provides creative AI age portraits and a personal portrait history. This policy applies to the app and these related pages. Selecting a photo, changing your profile photo or granting camera access does not itself send a photo for AI processing.

2. Information We Collect: Selected Photos and Face Data

We collect a photo only when you choose one from your photo library or take one with the camera. It may include visible facial features, expression, hair, clothing, background and other people. We treat a photo containing a face as face data for this disclosure. Gecke also handles your chosen target age, generated results and portrait history. Existing saved records may also contain a current age previously supplied by the user.

  • Gecke does not estimate your current age from a face. The current portrait-generation interface does not ask you to enter your current age.
  • Your profile identifier, chosen name, biography, profile photo, record titles, notes, favorites and share history support your personal workspace. Profile details and notes are not included in AI submissions.
  • Consent records contain your profile identifier, disclosure version and acceptance time. Image quality measurements describe whole-image dimensions, brightness, contrast and detail; they do not identify a person or measure facial geometry.
  • If you email support, we receive the email address and information you send. The AI provider receives network and request information, including your IP address and service request identifiers.

3. How We Use Information: AI Age Portraits

After you request a portrait and accept the separate Face Data Consent, Gecke sends the selected photo, including visible facial features, and an editing instruction based on your chosen target age to Alibaba Cloud DashScope. The photo is processed to generate the age portrait you requested. Each generation uses one target age and returns one portrait. Before sending, Gecke re-encodes the photo and removes original EXIF metadata, including embedded camera and GPS metadata.

  • We use photos and ages to provide the requested creative image edit, and save the result with its original for comparison in your history.
  • We use your profile details, titles, notes and saved activity to maintain your personal workspace. Gecke does not operate a public feed or user-to-user messaging service.
  • Gecke does not extract facial landmark coordinates, face embeddings or biometric identification templates. Photos and visible facial features are not used by Gecke for identity verification, face recognition or biometric profiling.
  • Portraits are creative illustrations, not reliable predictions of future appearance. Gecke does not use submitted photos to train its own models; provider handling follows Alibaba Cloud's applicable service terms.

4. Sharing and Third-Party AI Processing and Storage

Gecke uses Alibaba Cloud DashScope at dashscope.aliyuncs.com as its AI-processing provider for age portrait generation. DashScope receives the selected photo, including visible facial features, and the target-age editing instruction only after your consent and a generation request. Requests use HTTPS. Generated images are temporarily hosted by the provider, then downloaded and saved in your on-device portrait history.

  • Gecke has no intermediate photo-upload server storing source photos or generated portraits. The AI provider processes submissions in its cloud systems.
  • When Gecke shares a selected photo or visible facial features with DashScope, we require the provider to provide the same or equivalent protection for that information as described in this Privacy Policy, including purpose limitation, access controls, retention and deletion handling. Provider processing and retention are governed by Alibaba Cloud's applicable service terms and privacy policies.
  • When you use the system share sheet, the chosen image and accompanying text go to the destination you select. Recipient services apply their own policies to those copies.
  • Optional feedback dictation uses Apple's speech recognition services, which may process audio through Apple depending on device availability. Email providers process messages you deliberately send to support.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Imported photos, generated portraits, original-photo copies, ages, notes and saved activity remain in your app installation until you delete them. Successful results are saved automatically in history. A record keeps its own original-photo copy for comparison; deleting that record removes its copy, generated image and related notes, while other records or a draft may retain separate copies.

  • Discarding or replacing an unsaved draft removes that draft's selected-photo copy. Files left after an interrupted session may remain until you use the permanent deletion control in You > Settings.
  • Provider documentation describes a 24-hour availability period for generated-image links and temporary task data, such as task status and image URLs. This period does not establish a deletion deadline for source photos, underlying image copies, content review records, backups or operational logs. Those categories are handled under Alibaba Cloud's applicable terms; their maximum retention periods have not been confirmed by Gecke.
  • Consent records remain until you withdraw consent or use the permanent deletion control. Leaving the app or ending a session does not erase saved portraits. Clearing temporary WebView files does not delete portrait history.
  • The permanent deletion control in You > Settings removes your profile, app media, records, notes, saved activity and AI consent. It cannot erase previously submitted provider requests, shared copies or backups. Contact support@gecke.com for a deletion request involving provider-held information.
  • Device backups and copies saved or shared outside Gecke follow the operating system's or recipient's retention rules. Public retention reference: https://help.aliyun.com/zh/model-studio/qwen-image-edit-api.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Before the first AI generation, Gecke presents a separate Face Data Consent notice explaining the data sent, the purpose, Alibaba Cloud DashScope, storage, retention and deletion. Choosing Not now or dismissing it prevents photo upload and AI processing. Agree and continue stores your profile identifier, disclosure version and acceptance time in local preferences; the consent record contains no photo or face template. Gecke checks consent before every submission; system media permissions and general agreement to terms do not replace this consent.

  • Use You > Settings > Withdraw AI consent to prevent future photo submissions and require consent again before another generation. A change to the disclosure version also requires fresh consent.
  • Withdrawal and Stop generation stop waiting and future submissions, but cannot recall a request already sent or guarantee that the provider has stopped processing it.
  • Review, edit or delete saved records and profile details using the app controls. Successful portraits are saved automatically in your local history. You can mark a portrait as a favorite or share it when you choose.
  • Revoke camera, photo-library, microphone or speech recognition permissions in iOS Settings. You may type feedback instead of using dictation.
  • Contact support@gecke.com to ask about access, correction or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and information needed to verify your request.

7. Camera, Photo Library and Audio Permissions

Camera or photo-library access is requested when you take or select an image for a portrait or profile photo. Only the photo you choose is imported. AI submission requires its separate consent step. Gecke saves generated portraits in the app history and does not request a separate permission to add images directly to Photos.

  • Microphone and speech recognition access are requested when you start dictating feedback. Apple converts speech into text; Apple's processing and retention policies apply. Gecke does not save dictation audio recordings.
  • Denying an optional permission prevents that operation; typed feedback and existing history remain available. No background audio recording is used.

8. Feedback and Support

The in-app feedback form can accept typed or dictated text, but its submission does not deliver the form contents to a support server in this version. For a support request that reaches us, email support@gecke.com. We use the information you send to understand and respond to your request. Avoid including portrait images or sensitive information unless they are needed for the issue.

9. Children's Privacy

Gecke is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where applicable law requires one. We do not knowingly solicit their personal information. If a child has submitted personal information, a parent or guardian can contact support@gecke.com so we can review the concern and address deletion within our control.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the service or applicable requirements change. The updated date appears on this page. Material changes to the AI consent disclosure require renewed consent before further photo submissions.
